Airfield Information

Airsport Queensland operates from Boonah Airfield in the picturesque Scenic Rim. Boonah Airfield has long been a haven for recreational pilots with an active Ultralight Club, the Flying Tigers, and the Boonah Gliding Club. Dave has been instructing out of Boonah for many years in all types of aircraft.

The scenery that surrounds Boonah can only be described as spectacular, with rolling farmland and magnificent mountains, glassy lakes and small country towns.

The area boasts many national parks and two great water skiing dams, Lake Moogerah and Maroon Dam. There are many camping areas throughout Boonah Shire as well as motels, hotels, BnB’s, Farmstays, Wineries, and Caravan Parks.

The township itself is well serviced for a small town with Supermarkets, Post Office, Hardware store and an assortment of CafĂ©s and Pubs, plenty to keep the traveller occupied when they’re not escaping it all by floating through the skies above in a Sport Aircraft!
